What is the aim of the review?

To review existing evidence of how plantations and pasture lands influence species richness and abundance by summarizing the data from the literature using meta-analysis techniques to test the following hypotheses for different taxonomic groups of flora and fauna:

1. That plantations support higher species richness than pasture lands.
2. That plantations support a high abundance of organisms than pasture lands.
